Background:

These delightful prints are the actual menus from the French Line trans-atlantic steamship "De Grasse" during a voyage in late August-early September 1931 commanded by Robert Etienne.  The prints beautifully display onboard attire and activities from the period.  The menu on the inside of each print portrays how the passengers dined - Médallion of Rock Lobster Newburg, Potatoes Allumettes and Fresh Spinach with Crusts, as an example.
