These tinted lithographs from the 1880s portray "baronial halls and ancient picturesque edifices of England" including abbeys, castles and manor homes.

One of the artists contributing to this series was Frederick Hulme, who was probably best know for his "Familiar" botanical series - Familiar Gardenflowers and Familiar Wildflowers - which are also featured on our Web site.
