Background:

These prints are from the Belgium edition of the Parisian fashion magazine Journal des Dames et des Demoiselles (Journal of Ladies and Young Ladies).  The magazine provided a "complete guide" on the fashions and lingerie for woman in a variety of settings in and around the home and job!

Please note that our scanner is not large enough to scan the full dimensions of each fashion plate.  While the image of a cover may look truncated, in actuality all plates are fully intact.
