Background:
These colorful Fruit prints are from early 1900s Nursery catalogues
published in the United States. The catalogues were used by salesmen to show clients
their nursery inventory. In addition to portraying the plants available from the
nursery, the catalogues included articles giving suggestions on sales techniques and
strategies when speaking with clients.
The Fruit prints were based on illustrations
from the nursery's stock of plants and produced through high quality lithographic printing
processes.
