Background:
Cicely Mary Barker, English poet and artist, is best known for her multi-volume Flower
Fairy series. She also illustrated a number of books on childhood rhymes and
religious themes. On this page we feature her illustrations from The Little
Picture Hymn Book which presented the lyrics for a number of well-known hymns of the
period (1930s).
