Background:

The prints presented here are from the Vegetable Grower's Guide, one of the definitive handbooks on raising vegetables published in England in the early 1900s.   In addition to a detailed description of each vegetable, information was presented on garden shelters, preparing the soil, fertilization, crop rotation and infestation.
