Background:

While not our largest prints, this delightful series of miniature botanicals are ideal for spaces requiring smaller framed prints.  Dating from 1872, they are part of a folio of drawings by J. C. Weber on Alpine Plants of Germany and Switzerland.  Drawn from examples in nature, each lithograph plate features the original hand-coloring.  This reference was used to identify the plants, as well as indicating where they could be found and the time of the year in bloom.
