Background:

These First Edition prints feature a hedgehog named Mrs. Tiggy-winkle, who in real-life was one of Beatrix Potter's pets and served as the "model" for the drawings in this story.  The drawings first appeared in her 1903 Derwentwater sketchbook and were formally published as a storybook in 1905 by Potter's publisher Frederick Warne and Company.
